The pilot Bridge Funding Award program, created in the 2015-19 CBA, was created by the Provost in 2016-17. Eligibility for the program was so narrow that we ended up having noone apply for bridge funding in the 2016-17 AY.
We last reported on August 3 that listening sessions were scheduled at the end of September to hear from members how the bridge funding program needed to be changed. We ended up cancelling those sessions- we had fwe members who could make it- but we did receive input from members.
PSU-AAUP presented a proposed revision to the bridge funding program last week. This proposal does not have the force of a regular bargaining proposal or a proposal for an MOU because LOA #11 in the 2015-19 CBA granted authority to the Provost on the structure of this pilot program.
