BARGAINING

School of Business Administration Withdraws Course Cap Policy proposal

February 17, 2017 / Phil Lesch

As previously reported, PSU-AAUP met with University and SBA administration on January 10, 2017 to present its counter proposal/effects proposal to the Dean's Course Cap policy.  We had conducted a faculty survey  and explained the survey results that supported language in the proposal.

On January 30, 2017 administration advised that they were going to rescind the Course Cap policy completely, and start over with a faculty committee that would make recommendations to the SBA faculty about specific changes that were responsive to the accreditors criticisms that gave rise to the Course Cap policy. If we receive notice that the committee's work results in a policy or bylaw that falls within PSU-AAUP's scope of bargaining we will initiate a subsequent demand to bargain.
