Resolving Internal Union Conflict


April 3 to June 25

3.0 credits
The Resolving Internal Union Conflict online course focuses the resolution of disputes within union leadership, between leadership and members, and across diverse constituency groups.

1.5 credits
The Leadership Within Unionsonline course prepares emerging labor leaders to assume the responsibilities in their organization by developing leadership skills and abilities.

INSTRUCTORS
 
Susan Woods is Managing Partner, Henderson Woods, LLC.  She specializes in facilitation, training and consulting services for interest-based bargaining and collaborative conflict resolution, labor-management relations and diversity and inclusion.  She has worked with unions at the international and local levels to further understanding of diversity and inclusion. Reid Friedson, PhD was Constitutional History Teaching Fellow at George Mason University. Most recently, he edited the Bernie Sanders for President National Organizing Guides. In 2013, Dr. Friedson established the Adjunct Faculty Union (AFU) in 32 states and 6 countries. As field director with Fair Districts Florida, he led a campaign to amend the Florida Constitution and prohibit gerrymandering in 2010. The 3.0-credit online Resolving Internal Conflict and 1.5-credit Leadership Within Unions online courses are part of the Cornell ILR Online Labor Studies Program. Registration is also open for these upcoming credit courses:

Advanced Collective Bargaining - Jun 26 to Sep 11 (3.0 credits)

Labor and Film - Sep 11 to Oct 29 (1.5 credits)

Labor Relations in the Public Sector - Sep 11 to Dec 11 (3.0 credits)

The American Worker in Global Industrial Relations - Oct 30 to Dec 17 (1.5 credits)
