The negotiating team is pleased to share that we have reached a tentative agreement (TA) on the impact of the Advising Redesign Implementation. The Executive Council reviewed and unanimously approved the TA at its March 15th meeting.
PSU-AAUP submitted a demand to bargain on the advising redesign one year ago and has been working on it since. In order to come to this agreement, our negotiating team met with Administration approximately nine times (not counting cancellations due to weather and schedule conflicts). Not only did we achieve an excellent agreement, we were also successful in using the interest-based bargaining process a second time. We have high hopes that the interest-based process has a real foothold at Portland State, and that we will be able to turn to it in the future.
