Bargaining Update

At the end of the school year it was clear there was still much work to be done on the bargaining table over the summer. We have been meeting with Administration to deal with both outstanding and emerging issues. Most notably:

  1. Attend Anywhere: A new course code is being used in some units for courses that indicate students can choose to attend either virtually or in-person (while the faculty is teaching in-person). Look for the agreement ratification email soon. 
  2. AP Salary Bands: Academic Professionals have been reclassified into new job families and IC levels, and these new ranks need salary bands. We are working to get these implemented ASAP.
  3. Vaccine Mandate: PSU faculty and students are required to attest to having the Covid 19 vaccine, we are working on coming to an agreement around this new policy.
  4. NTTF ranks: Last year the Faculty Senate approved new teaching ranks (Teaching Assistant, Teaching Associate, Teaching Professors). Now we are working with Administration to agree how these will be implemented. This work is very complicated, and will likely continue into the fall.
