Introducing Jennifer Dahlin

My name is Jennifer Dahlin and I’m a Clinical Psychologist at Student Health and Counseling. I joined AAUP in 2014 at a time when an impending faculty strike was looming. The strike threat created concern for many of our colleagues (both in my unit and more broadly). Prior to joining AAUP, I didn't have a strong understanding of the benefits of union membership. However, since that time, I've appreciated having the union's support on issues such as equity and pay and appreciate the strength that our union has when negotiating with the administration on my behalf and that of our fellow colleagues. I decided to become a member volunteer and have worked with PSU-AAUP as a steering committee member of both the Women's and the Parent/Caregiver caucuses. It has been a pleasure to make connections through AAUP with other faculty and APs across campus and to work to improve our lives here on campus.
