This is a counter-rally to white nationalists. Our action will take place directly across the street from them in a designated area. We want to unite voices in the Labor movement in saying NO to racism and NO to fascism!

--------------------------

Over the past few years, we have seen hate groups take to the streets across the country, and even more so in the Pacific Northwest. The KKK, Proud Boys, Patriot Prayer and groups in affinity to them by their nature present a threat to BIPOC, Muslim people, Jewish people, women, and LGBTQ people from living full lives in the community.

Hate groups are a threat to the Labor movement as a whole - and they are clear that Labor is a threat to them. White supremacist forces are connected to the origins of anti-labor “right to work” laws designed with the long goal of destroying Unions. Why? White nationalists believed that unions would lead to uniting and empowering the international and multi-racial working class to resist them.

We are mobilizing because we believe the Labor movement that takes seriously the call to struggle against racism and fascism will be stronger for it. We will organize with the larger community in mobilizing against the provocations of those who oppose all we hold dear.
