No New Furloughs

This week, we received confirmation that there will be no additional furloughs for PSU-AAUP represented members added to the initial list of furloughs that began on June 1st.  This was an important issue for our members as anyone not furloughed before July 25th would not receive the $600 a week CARES Act money. This meant that any new members added to the furloughs late -- because they only recently reached 6-months of employment at PSU -- would begin to lose 20% of their paycheck with only a little more than $100 in state unemployment.  We are relieved that this scenario did not come into play, and that no new furloughs loom on the horizon.
