SEIU Negotiations Ongoing

Thanks to everyone who showed up for SEIU on November 17th. It is critical that we continue to show solidarity with our classified staff colleagues as they persevere in their negotiations. The public university system is risking the loss of the remaining loyal and dedicated classified employees with an unreasonable proposal that has no COLA, no regular salary steps, and threatens the longevity pay won in the last contract. Nationwide, and in Oregon, workers are leaving their jobs at record rates, and this is no time for the university system to try to squeeze some of the lowest paid workers.
