University System of Maryland now requiring COVID-19 booster shots for on-campus students

BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) — Students living on a USM campus during the spring semester are required to get a COVID-19 booster shot.

The University System of Maryland (USM) announced Friday that they are requiring all students living on a USM campus during the spring 2022 semester to get an additional dose of the COVID-19 vaccine amid the surge of COVID-19 cases and new variant.

Students who have been exempted from the COVID-19 vaccinations mandate do not have to get the booster.

All of the USM institution will share their implementation details for residents students - including booster shot deadlines and verify vaccination status. There will be additional COVID-19 protocols for the broader campus community.
