Updated Vaccine Policy

Because PSU receives federal monies, it must adhere to the new federal regulations related to vaccination status and exemptions. In effect, this means PSU employees, including all AAUP members regardless of work location, will be required to re-confirm their vaccination status (including exemptions). The federal regulations limit exemptions to only medical and religious ones. A philosophical exemption is no longer an allowable option. 

To be in compliance with the new federal mandate, PSU needs to confirm that all employees have submitted documentation of vaccination status no later than Jan. 4, 2022. To allow time for HR to process your documents, PSU administration is asking that you submit your documentation no later than Dec. 23, 2021. Documentation may include but is not limited to a COVID-19 vaccination record card, a copy or digital picture of the vaccination record card, or a print-out from the Oregon Health Authority’s immunization registry or your medical provider.

PSU-AAUP is in full support of these new requirements and encourages all members to submit their documentation early.
