PSU-AAUP represents over 1,200 instructional faculty and academic professionals employed by Portland State University. We strive to defend the rights of our bargaining unit through advocacy, collective bargaining, and grievance procedures, and are committed to protecting tenure, due process, and academic freedom for all PSU faculty. We are affiliated with the American Association of University Professors, the nation’s only organization that exclusively represents higher education faculty.

Meet Kareem Anderson

My name is Kareem Ali Anderson. For the past 10 years, I’ve served our valued PSU student community as a financial coach and counselor within our University's Financial Wellness Center. Among my many responsibilities, I tirelessly coach countless students through the many intricacies of managing everyday money matters. With dedication, I invest all of my time and knowledge providing resources to students while also promoting financial wellness along their paths to graduation and beyond. I take pride in the pivotal role our services contribute to our students’ overall success. I am also a proud member of PSU AAUP and because I have a firm commitment to fairness and equity, I am honored to hold a leadership role as an AAUP Unit Representative.
