At last, it's the end of Spring term!!!
We don't have a lot going on this week, but please save these dates for next week!
Tuesday, June 25th:
Next Bargaining Session: Noon - 3 pm, in Market Center Bldg 650
Please come to observe if you can!
We had a great turn out on Tuesday, June 4th, which makes a huge difference, and also meant that the Bargaining Team could caucus with members to better understand the impact of particular Administration proposals. Next time we're scheduled to talk about Peer Review, Professional Development, Salary, Retirement and Health Insurance.
Thursday, June 27th:
Bargaining Support Team Meeting, Noon to 1:30, ASRC 660
All PSU-AAUP members are invited to come to eat lunch and work on our network
a) work on our network
b) discuss PSU's budget and direction
c) provide feedback on the Executive Council's plan for speakers and events in the Fall and Winter
d) plan for a membership drive, and
e) hear any updates, whether from the Strike Strategy Committee, Ron Narode - our VP for Bargaining, or ???
Saturday, June 29th:
Help reach out to members of other unions!
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Holladay Park (NE 11th & Holladay St.)
Come help staff a PSU-AAUP table to pass out fliers at a rally and march on the last Saturday of June. The rally, for quality education, jobs, and protection for all workers, is sponsored by the Portland Jobs with Justice, a coalition of union and community organizations of which PSU-AAUP is a member.
