Chattanooga worker solidarity

PSU-AAUP members extended solidarity with workers in Chattanooga who voted in a landslide Friday to form the first new US auto workers union since the 1970s. Joseph McCartin, a labor historian at Georgetown, described a victory by Chattanooga workers in the Guardian, “[T]he biggest breakthrough in private-sector organizing in decades. It would mean that the anti-union citadel [in the south] that has repulsed effort after organizing effort has been breached.”
