Racial Justice Leadership from PSU-AAUP

PSU-AAUP participated in a Racial Justice Roundtable hosted by national AAUP on Monday, April 5th. AAUP chapter leaders from three campuses (including from our own PSU) talked about racial justice initiatives that different chapters are working on or have completed, the factors that prompted the chapters to focus on these initiatives, and challenges encountered in the process. Executive Councilor and Secretary Megan Horst from PSU-AAUP talked about our chapter's efforts, including our ongoing contract with an equity consultant which will lead to an equity action plan, our support for Disarm PSU, and our recent efforts to combat abuses of academic freedom.
